Sanofi is seeking a Senior Distinguished Scientist to lead the Transgenic Model & Technology function globally. You will drive genome engineering innovations, guide in vivo model development, and align strategies with R&D goals across multiple therapeutic areas.

The role requires advanced expertise, strong scientific leadership, and a commitment to mentoring teams. You will oversee cross-functional projects, collaborate with external partners, and champion AI-driven approaches to improve design

Qualifications

• Extensive post-doctoral or industry experience in mouse molecular genetics and transgenic animal model development.
• Demonstrated track record of scientific leadership in an academic or pharmaceutical/biotech research environment.
• Fluency in English for global collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead genome engineering and CRISPR-based strategies for in vivo model development across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new transgenesis technologies and genome engineering platforms.
• Champion AI and digital integration to enhance model design, data analysis, and predictive capabilities.
• Serve as strategic scientific advisor to research projects across therapeutic areas.
• Align transgenic capabilities with organizational goals through cross-functional leadership.
• Lead transversal teams across sites, budgets, and external partners.
• Build partnerships with model providers, CROs, and academic partners; negotiate licenses.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team in a culture of scientific excellence.
