Sanofi, Montpellier/Vitry-sur-Seine, France, seeks a Senior Distinguished Scientist to lead the Transgenic Model & Technology function globally. This role demands expert genome engineering leadership, CI/AI integration, and international collaboration across therapeutic divisions.

You will oversee transgenic model development, guide strategic direction, and mentor a high-performing team while coordinating with external partners and CROs.

Qualifications

• Extensive post-doctoral or industry experience in mouse molecular genetics and transgenic model development.
• Proven track record of scientific leadership in pharma/biotech research.
• Fluent English and ability to collaborate globally.

Responsabilités

• Lead genome engineering and CRISPR-based strategies for in vivo model development across therapeutic areas.
• Identify and implement new transgenic technologies and platforms.
• Integrate AI and digital tools to improve model design and data analysis.
• Advise on in vivo and preclinical study design for cross-functional projects.
• Strategic planning to align transgenic capabilities with long-term goals.
• Lead transversal teams across sites, manage partnerships and budgets.
