Lead ML Engineer - UAV Defence Scale-up - Europe

Darwin Recruitment has partnered exclusively with a leader in the Autonomous UAV sector across Europe. They are seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to lead a team of Engineers in designing, developing, and deploying ML models for real-time intelligence UAV solutions.

The role offers a flat organizational structure, allowing you to influence strategic decisions. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or similar, and experience in the UAV / Drone / Autonomous Systems sector.

Required skills include Python, C++, Java, or Rust, and knowledge of software development best practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes. The position is open to remote work from the UK, Spain, France, or Portugal (no sponsorship available). Salary ranges from €100,000 to €120,000 plus benefits, depending on experience and location.
