Trade Republic is seeking a senior to staff level engineer to lead their Kafka platform engineering team in Paris. Your mission includes designing scalable solutions, owning the Kafka infrastructure's reliability, and driving the adoption of best practices across engineering teams.

With a strong backend engineering background, proficiency in Kafka, and cloud-native experiences, you’ll enable product engineers to operate autonomously. The role allows for a flexible hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days in the office each week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in streaming, platform engineering, or related systems discipline.
• Deep hands-on Kafka expertise with production experience.
• Ability to drive cross-team initiatives and communicate architectural trade-offs.

Responsabilités

• Own the reliability and uptime of Kafka fleet.
• Design and implement the multi-cluster streaming platform.
• Define standards for streaming best practices and ensure they are adopted.
