Job Description:

APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY – APPRENTICE LEGAL COUNSEL – EMEA REGION

Location: Rueil-Malmaison, France

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Legal Department. Based in Rueil-Malmaison, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Legal Counsel – EMEA to support various legal matters across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Contract review and drafting
  2. Preliminary negotiations
  3. Document management
  4. Legal follow-up

This role provides exposure to business-related legal issues such as data privacy, clinical studies, distributor relationships, and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support GDPR and local data protection compliance efforts
  • Participate in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Data Processing Agreements (DPA), and conduct initial analysis of business initiatives from a privacy perspective
  • Assist with agreements involving Healthcare Organizations (HCO), Healthcare Professionals (HCP), and Contract Research Organizations (CRO)
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Currently pursuing a Master 1 in Law, preferably with a specialization in healthcare law; expertise in commercial law, data privacy, or contract law is a plus
  • Knowledge of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous
  • Additional language skills, especially German or Italian, are a plus
