The Senior Innovation Project Manager - Small Molecules reports to the Open Innovation and IPCEI leader within the R&D organization. The position is based at the headquarters in Paris, with a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days every 15 days.
This role involves coordinating a Chemistry program as part of the IPCEI initiative, focusing on reinventing production processes with an emphasis on competitiveness and environmental performance. It includes managing a portfolio of approximately 20 R&D projects related to API manufacturing process development for small molecules, in collaboration with external partners and internal teams.
The position requires strong program coordination, project management, organizational skills, and technical knowledge, along with a keen interest in innovation and stakeholder engagement. The team comprises three Project Managers working under the supervision of the IPCEI leader, collaborating across R&D, industrial operations, and support functions.
Key responsibilities include risk management, project execution within budget and timeline, resource allocation, external partner coordination, process transfer, and internalization of technologies. The role also involves communication with management, developing financial plans, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Qualifications include an engineering, PhD, or equivalent in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with solid experience in API process development projects. Skills in translating technical data, stakeholder communication, change management, and collaboration are essential. Fluency in French and English is required, along with a proven track record in process chemistry or chemical engineering, and experience in external collaborations and contracts management is a plus.
