L'Oréal's UX Design Lab, our international packaging design studio, is looking for a Senior Industrial Designer with 10+ years of experience and strong knowledge in cosmetics, particularly in makeup.

The UX Design Lab is committed to creating the next generation of innovative and eco-responsible packaging for all of the group's divisions. At L'Oréal, design goes beyond aesthetics. Of course, we imagine the most desirable objects, but we go further by :

• Understanding the needs and uses of consumers in order to offer them intelligent packaging solutions
• Imagining the uses and functionalities of tomorrow by integrating technology
• Creating the most sustainable objects of tomorrow through eco-design
• Amplifying sensoriality through new materials, colors, and finishes

THE MISSION

The Senior Designer's mission will be to create innovative and eco-responsible packaging that feeds the group's innovation pipeline and meets the needs of the group's different brands.

Your responsibilities include :

• Analyze and understand consumer needs to propose packaging that meets them.
• Be curious about cosmetic and competitive trends to keep a critical eye on these creations.
• Understand the challenges L'Oréal faces for the future of the group in order to propose eco-responsible packaging.
• Understand the technical and industrial challenges in order to propose robust packaging that is technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Be able to participate in and lead Design Thinking / Design Sprints on the most forward-looking projects.
• Master CAD software such as Rhino or Solidworks, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint.
• Be able to launch aesthetic and functional prototypes using rapid prototyping.
• Work in a team within a very large ecosystem : Marketing, Engineers, Product Development, Laboratories, internal and international experts, suppliers, etc.
• Be in regular contact with suppliers to stay informed about new innovations and to be able to discuss designs.
• Have the courage to see projects through from idea to completion by finding the best compromises to achieve them, in an autonomous manner.
