Une entreprise innovante recherche un Human Resources & Office Manager proactif pour diriger l'excellence opérationnelle et la gestion des ressources humaines au sein d'une équipe entièrement à distance. Vous serez responsable de la culture d'entreprise, des processus RH clés et de la stratégie à l'échelle de l'entreprise, en assurant la conformité avec les lois du travail françaises et en gérant l'administration des ressources humaines.

Qualifications

  • Expérience en ressources humaines dans une startup de moins de 100 employés.
  • Connaissance des lois du travail françaises et de l'environnement à distance.
  • Compétences en numérique et en gestion d'outils comme Slack.

Responsabilités

  • Gérer les processus de ressources humaines, y compris le recrutement et la gestion des performances.
  • Promouvoir une culture de travail à distance efficace et organiser des événements internes.
  • Veiller à la conformité avec les réglementations du travail.

Job Title: Human Resources & Office Manager

Location: Fully Remote - Must have full remote or remote-first experience and French labour law knowledge

Role Overview

Looking for a proactive and strategic Human Resources & Office Manager (HRO Manager) to lead HR and operational excellence across a remote-first team. You will shape our culture, manage all core HR processes, and ensure our systems, tools, and people strategies scale effectively with the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources:
  • Attract and retain top talent through effective recruitment strategies
  • Lead performance management and promote employee well-being
  • Design and implement career development frameworks
  • Manage and automate HR administration processes (e.g., payroll, expenses, attendance, travel)
  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations in a multicultural, international environment
  • Define and monitor HR KPIs such as gender balance, equal pay, and employee engagement
  • Coach and empower managers to grow as leaders
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Implement and manage HR tools and platforms suitable for a distributed workforce
  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations in collaboration with finance/accounting partners
Office & Culture Management:
  • Foster and maintain a thriving remote-first work culture
  • Organise internal virtual and hybrid events to support connection and morale
  • Act as a key point of contact for remote operations and asynchronous communication practices
  • Promote digital efficiency and collaboration, especially through platforms like Slack, Notion, and HRIS tools
Requirements
  • Fluent in both French and English (a third language is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of French labour law (Master’s degree or PhD preferred)
  • Based in Paris, with the ability to support remote-first operations
  • Proven experience in an HR role within an early-stage startup (Series A–B, under 100 employees)
  • Must have experience working in a remote-only or remote-first environment
  • Experience implementing HR tools and systems in a startup context
  • Strong digital operations expertise, with knowledge of tools such as Slack
  • Experience managing payroll and related administrative processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (GSuite) or Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
  • Background in recruitment or agency experience
  • Scientific training in biology, biotechnology, or computer science
  • Coaching certification or leadership development experience
