CATL is seeking a Technical Design Manager to lead end-to-end grid interconnection and compliance for a growing EU portfolio of battery energy storage projects. The role allows home-based work within a flexible Renewable Project Development team and requires coordinating across utilities, TSOs/DSOs and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold an electrical engineering degree with 5–7 years in grid interconnection, strong power systems knowledge, and proven ability to deliver grid connection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• PE/Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years of experience in grid interconnection for utility-scale assets (BESS).
• Proven track record delivering grid connection projects from origination through energisation and COD.
• Strong knowledge of power system fundamentals, HV infrastructure, protection and control.
• Experience engaging with utilities, TSOs/DSOs on interconnection and grid compliance.

Responsabilités

• Lead grid interconnection, connection lifecycle management for utility-scale BESS.
• Evaluate offers, assess reinforcement needs and costs; manage risk.
• Oversee power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonic, voltage).
• Coordinate with external consultants; ensure timely deliverables.
