Job Description :
Based in the center of Paris, our client is a 20 people indie game studio, dedicated to a promising next-generation Sci-Fi MMO game featuring a huge persistent, open and editable sandbox world composed of thousands of planets.
The company operates on funds successfully raised from private investors and remains entirely independent. They are developing their own technologies: procedural generation, voxel, dual contouring rendering and single shard server. They are passionate about high quality games, and believe in the potential of emergent systemic gameplay. They actively seek out like-minded top talents to help us create an immersive experience and push forward the limits of the MMO genre.
We are looking for a seasoned graphics programmer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is looking to push the boundaries to render cutting edge 3D voxels in our rendering engine. You will research, develop, implement, and optimize high-end and photorealistic graphics techniques applicable in large-scale environments.
You could be working on: real time global illumination and shadowing, atmospheric simulation, large scale vegetation, geometry processing, highly dynamic scene graph, etc.
This position works closely with the artists, the other R&D engineers (voxel, procedural generation, engine) and the game programmers. Located in Paris, France, we offer the fun, focused, and casual atmosphere of a small studio. Very competitive salary and package.
Job Requirements :
•Expertise in C/C++
•Thorough understanding of 3D math.
•Experience with constructing and debugging multi-threaded systems
•Strong communication skills to work cohesively with both engineers and artists
•Self-drive to learn new rendering techniques and implement them
•Architecturally-minded approach with respect to designing scalable systems and managing technical debt
•Experience writing and debugging shader code
•Commitment to code quality, documentation and sound testing procedures
•Ability to research, analyze and optimize code to meet performance requirements
•Conceptual fluency with physically based rendering techniques
•4-year degree required (or equivalent experience in relevant field)
•At least 3 years of experience
