Platform teams design, build, and run the platform enabling end-users to visualize and deploy existing and new projects, interact with cutting-edge DevOps and Cloud automation without the need to become an expert, while keeping best practices in place, cloud expenses under control, and minimizing carbon footprint.

Cycloid, a sustainable engineering platform, provides a frictionless self-service portal with modules around Self-service portal and orchestration, infrastructure and resources management, and FinOps and GreenOps. It can be consumed through the console, in CLI, or via API.

What is my challenge?

We divide it into three parts, as we believe growth occurs throughout our professional journey:

1. Short term: understand and comprehend the codebase
2. Midterm: contribute to the codebase by adding features and fixing bugs
3. Long-term: participate in high-level roadmap discussions and future planning

You will join a team of experienced Backend Developers and be key in developing new features. Have you heard of our new Cost Explorer feature?

Your day-to-day will include:

• Contributing to features by defining them with the team or working on them directly
• Developing in Go
• Reviewing others' code
• Communicating and assisting team members

What should I bring to the table?

Your Must-Have skills:

• At least 5 years of experience as a backend developer
• Proficiency in Go/Golang and testing (Unit/E2E)
• MySQL experience
• Knowledge of HTTP API/JSON (Swagger)
• Keeping up with best practices and new tech
• Good knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Full English proficiency
• Experience working fully remotely
• Honest, straightforward, benevolent, and easygoing attitude

Nice-to-have skills:

• Mature mindset
• Docker experience
• Experience with Workers, DDD/TDD, Ops tools (Elasticsearch, Terraform, Concourse)
• Cloud provider familiarity
• Open Source Software interest
