Job Description: Senior Global Category Manager Marketing & Trade

We are seeking a Senior Global Category Manager Marketing & Trade to lead strategy for a spend of approximately EUR 500M and manage a global network of Marketing & Trade buyers.

As a key member of the Global Procurement Team, you will collaborate across Lactalis's various business divisions to drive impactful and strategic projects. Your focus will be on optimizing quality, cost, innovation, and overall performance across Marketing & Trade categories, including Media, Panels & Studies, Creative/Design & Prepress, and POS Sales Activation (sales brokers, animation, merchandising, display, discount coupons).

This high-visibility role positions you as a key player in shaping and executing the global Marketing & Trade procurement strategy.

Your Mission & Challenges:
  • Lead centralized media & panel procurement efforts, negotiating strategically with global partners to maximize value and ensure consistency across all zones.
  • Coordinate procurement strategies for other Marketing & Trade categories (e.g., agencies, digital marketing, sales brokers, trade services), ensuring alignment with global goals and regional execution.
  • Develop expertise in Marketing & Trade procurement, building innovative sourcing approaches tailored to the dynamics of these categories.
  • Manage an international network of 15+ regional/local buyers, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Drive global initiatives to enhance the economic and sustainable performance of Marketing & Trade categories.
What is Essential for Us?
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in marketing & trade procurement with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
  • A strategic and collaborative mindset, capable of leading centralized procurement while effectively coordinating regional and local stakeholders for other marketing categories.
  • Strong skills in aligning global strategies with regional execution, balancing strategic vision with operational needs.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions, fostering collaboration and achieving buy-in for centralized strategies.
  • Resilience, tenacity, and credibility to lead high-stakes negotiations and drive change in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English and French, with strong communication and presentation skills to engage international teams.
  • A results-oriented mindset, driven to deliver measurable added value in marketing & trade procurement categories.
