A geophysics service provider in Nouvelle-Aquitaine is seeking a Senior Geophysicist. You will manage seismic processing projects, mentor junior geophysicists, and work on diverse projects across various industries. The ideal candidate has a degree in Geophysics or similar, with at least 5 years of experience in processing and imaging. Remote working options are available in this dynamic and collaborative role.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in processing and imaging.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Reveal and/or Insight.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

  • Manage a processing project and coordinate the project team.
  • Ensure internal technical reviews of processing projects.
  • Mentor and train junior geophysicists.

Responsibilities
  • As a Senior Geophysicist, you will leverage your knowledge of the principles and techniques of geophysics as well as your experience in project management. You will be responsible for managing and producing seismic processing projects. Your missions will consist of:
  • Manage a processing project (the technical coordination of the project team, validation of sequences, QC of deliverables, and reporting to the operations manager).
  • Ensure the internal technical review of processing projects (running peer reviews).
  • Contribute to the mentoring and training of junior geophysicists.
  • Identify R&D avenues in collaboration with RTS developers.
  • Process seismic data for different industries, including oil & gas, mining, CCUS, windfarms, and geothermal.
  • Write technical reports and presentations
  • Contribute to the adherence to our stringent quality standards and processes
  • Liaise with customers and other departments, such as R&D and Management
  • Become part of a diverse and multi-cultural team
  • The ability to work remotely and yet instil a company culture of sharing, innovation, and dynamism
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geophysics, Physics, Maths, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in processing and imaging
  • At least 3 years of experience in Reveal and/or Insight.
