Chubb is seeking a Financial Lines Underwriter to focus on large and complex accounts within the Financial Lines portfolio, including Management Liability and Financial Institutions. The role emphasizes influencing referrals and securing approvals while building trusted relationships with brokers and clients.

The ideal candidate will manage referrals, maintain a robust pipeline, and work with senior underwriting leadership to align on market conditions and strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting Financial Lines products (Management Liability and/or Financial Institutions).
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills in managing referrals and securing approvals.
• Proven track record with top brokers and major clients.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of major accounts with high underwriting integrity.
• Achieve quote and hit rates for new business in major and complex accounts.
• Collaborate with other lines of business and sales teams to target and secure key accounts.
• Maintain an up-to-date new business pipeline and review renewal strategies for retention and rate objectives.
• Manage the referral process to underwriting leadership, using influencing to obtain approvals.
• Ensure robust and well-documented underwriting rationale for each account.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key broker teams and major clients to support sales.
• Participate in major account meetings and communicate with Head of Financial Lines on market conditions.
• Manage policy wording in line with guidelines with regional and wording specialists.
• Embed cross-sell and growth thinking in underwriting practices.
• Ensure timely and accurate booking of business.
• Communicate with senior management as required.
