A leading company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to enhance their Financial Accounting Team in Rennes. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and a proactive approach in managing financial tasks. This role involves collaborating with internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities & Duties
For some entities within the Group, the candidate will:
Look after all the administrative processes directly performed in France for a number of companies (accounts payables and accounts receivables, intercompany reconciliations, month-end journals, accruals, cash collection, balance sheet & P&L reconciliation…)
Guarantee that all the periodical VAT requirements have been properly fulfilled working in coordination with the Tax Department
Resolve various issues with customers, suppliers, land-owners, municipalities such as communication of the Company data changes and requests related to payments confirmation and processing
Support in the preparation of the quarterly reports in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies;
Support the local consultant during the year-end financial statement preparation;
Support the audit firm during annual audit activities;
Manage the cash needs of the entities in scope;
Support as required in relation to any new transactions, or any potential entity mergers.
Key Requirements
5-7 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial rules and principles
Knowledge of general tax rules
Knowledge of basic cash management rules
Good knowledge of a complex ERP (a prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O will be considered a plus)
English fluent is mandatory, the knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus.
What do we expect from you?
For the entities in scope, manage autonomously all the accounting tasks, cash needs and the reporting activities;
Support Directors and headquarters departments in managing all the day-by-day financial/accounting issues.
