Here in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our business. ESG including Climate Change, nature loss and human right pose different risks to the stability of the financial system. The requirement to identify and manage impacts from these risks results in necessary enhancement to our risk management framework, risk appetite, data infrastructure, reporting and oversight arrangements.
Through the delivery of HSBC ambition to net zero, we could also face the risk of greenwashing if we knowingly, or unknowingly mislead stakeholders on sustainability-related claims.
The proper consideration and management of ESG risks across the Bank avoid facing regulatory breach, reputational concern, and litigations.
ESG Risk team supports the HBCE Chief Risk Officer in the provision of risk expertise across strategy and framework, policy, advisory and oversight, reporting and engagement for climate, nature, social, governance risks and the risk of greenwashing. Are you able to work within a global and an evolving organisation? Do you have knowledge and experience in risk management to support the day-to-day management of ESG risks? What you will do :
You will work with business and function stakeholders to ensure that HBCE’s (HSBC Continental Europe) ESG risks are properly identified, assessed, managed in line with HSBC risk management practices and respond to European and local regulatory requirements. This role is an opportunity to work in an area of growing interest to regulators, investors while the wider external market with risk management practices and regulation for ESG topics are evolving globally.
