Indefi is a fast-growing strategy consulting firm focused on the investment management industry, with offices in Paris and London. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Paris and London teams as Senior Engagement Manager / Principal.

In this role you will lead international projects across market and competitive analysis, strategy reviews and business development, taking ownership of multiple engagements, guiding teams, and presenting to C-level clients.

Qualifications

Indefi is a fast-growing strategy consulting firm dedicated to the investment management industry, helping asset managers, GPs and wealth managers. Established in 2007, we are a team of 80+ consultants headquartered in Paris and London, with local offices in Lyon and Madrid.

Within the Corporate Strategy team, we provide asset and wealth managers, from the top 10 largest global firms to boutique and private market specialists, with an actionable roadmap to achieve their growth objectives.

As part of our development, we are looking for experienced consulting professionals to join us as Senior Engagement Manager / Principal for our Paris and London offices.

Your role

As Senior Engagement Manager / Principal, you will lead international projects across a wide range of strategic topics: market and competitive analysis, strategic reviews, business planning, strategic due diligences, business development strategies…

Working closely with partners, you will:

• Structure complex client problems, set the analytical agenda and bring recognised expertise that clients seek out;




• Take full ownership of project delivery across multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring quality, timing and client impact;




• Set high standards for deliverables and lead senior client presentations and steering committees;




• Build trusted relationships with client leadership and contribute actively to business development and proposals;




• Develop and coach your teams, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment;




• Leverage AI tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team's work;




• Contribute to building the firm through internal initiatives such as recruitment, training and knowledge management.

Profile

We are looking for senior professionals combining exceptional intellectual ability, strong business judgment and proven leadership, eager to take ownership of client relationships and to play an active role in the growth of the firm:

• 7 to 12 years of experience, including significant experience in strategy consulting, ideally gained in a top-tier firm or in a strategy / M&A role within an asset manager, private equity firm, investment bank or international group;




• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-workstream engagements autonomously, with direct exposure to C-level executives;




• Deep expertise in the investment management industry (asset management, private markets, wealth management) that clients recognise and value;




• Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the executive presence to lead senior client discussions and the editorial rigour to set high standards for deliverables;




• Demonstrated people leadership: experience coaching and developing teams, and a genuine commitment to feedback, including upward feedback;




• Commercial mindset, with experience contributing to proposals and growing client relationships;




• Strong command of AI tools and appetite for using them to raise the quality and efficiency of consulting work;




• Full fluency in English is mandatory.
