AIG Europe S.A. (France branch) is seeking a senior energy underwriter for the EMEA Energy team. You will oversee complex energy programs, balance stakeholder needs, and take ownership of key outcomes.

With 5-7 years in energy property insurance, you will evaluate submissions, negotiate terms, and build strong broker/client relationships. The role emphasizes office-based collaboration and travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of energy property insurance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Technical knowledge of energy space (Downstream, Chemical, Power, Mining, Renewables).
• Ability to evaluate submissions and differentiate risks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and managing an existing energy book and developing a pipeline.
• Exercising underwriting authority per guidelines.
• Negotiating policy terms to align with directives and client value.
• Building producer and client relationships and delivering superior service.
• Attending client/broker meetings and industry events.
• Collaborating with regional teams for consistent market approach.
