Job summary

Compass Lexecon is seeking an experienced power market modeller/consultant to work on quantitative modelling and regulatory issues across Europe. The role offers opportunities to interact with clients and collaborate with a multi-office team (Berlin, Düsseldorf, Paris, Brussels, London and Helsinki).

You will use Plexos and Python-based tools to analyse long-term capacity expansion, short-term dispatch, power prices and wholesale dynamics.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in energy consulting, regulatory authorities or energy utilities.
• Experience in power market modelling (long-term capacity expansion, short-term dispatch), power prices projection and market analysis.
• Experience with data manipulation and time series analysis; programming in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis using energy models and data tools.
• Prepare reports and summaries of analyses for clients.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls; support business development.
