Compass Lexecon in Paris seeks an experienced power market modeller/consultant to work on quantitative modelling and regulatory issues across Europe. You will handle long-term capacity expansion and short-term dispatch analyses using Plexos and Python, prepare client reports, and engage in business development from day one.

Required: 2–5 years in energy consulting or utilities, Master’s degree in a relevant field, fluency in English, and strong data skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in energy consulting, with regulatory authorities or in energy utilities.
• Experience in power market modelling (capacity expansion, short-term dispatch) and price projections.
• Experience in power market simulation software (Plexos, BID 3, PyPSA, Antares).
• Experience in data manipulation (time series analysis, data collection and cleaning).
• Working knowledge of Python, R, and statistics; advanced Excel/Office skills.
• Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance or Statistics from a leading university.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German or French is a plus; other European languages desirable.
