Aircall in Paris seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own the Workspace desktop app, bridging the web app and the operating system with Electron for a native-grade experience. You will design, build, and release the Electron application and mentor peers in best practices.

Candidates should have 5+ years in Electron/Node.js, with strong CI/CD, code signing, and end-to-end testing experience, and a security-minded approach to modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Electron and the Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines for desktop applications.
• Knowledge of code signing and auto-update mechanisms.
• Experience establishing E2E testing strategies with Playwright or Cypress.
• Stays current with modern development practices and tooling, including AI-assisted tools.
• Autonomous and capable of delivering complex infrastructure projects on time.

Responsabilités

• Own the lifecycle of the desktop workspace app, including publishing to app stores and safe auto-updates.
• Design and maintain robust CI pipelines (GitLab CI) and automate testing to prevent regressions.
• Navigate major Electron/Chromium version bumps, managing impact on device management and memory usage.
• Debug and optimize performance, focusing on memory leaks and CPU usage for high-quality audio calls.
• Maintain native integrations with USB hardware for call control and presence features.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues.
