Speechify is seeking a seasoned Windows desktop developer to design, architect, and ship native desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and occasional C++.

You will drive accessibility, performance, and cross-version compatibility while collaborating with product designers, UX researchers, and QA to shape the Windows platform roadmap. Leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Deep knowledge of Windows app architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps.
• Experience with accessibility APIs (Microsoft UI Automation) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management, multi-threading.
• Experience leading design discussions, mentoring engineers, and architecture decisions.
• Excellent communication and a user-centric mindset.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps.
• Define best practices for code architecture, performance, memory usage, and compatibility across Windows versions.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure accessible UI across components.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap.
• Take ownership of full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks.
