Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, DePuy Synthes Digital Surgery, seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead electrical development for robotic and digital surgery systems in Grenoble, France. You will design, simulate, prototype, and validate electrical subsystems and contribute to cross-functional product development.

You will work with ALTIUM, MATLAB, and PSpice, collaborating with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless integration, documentation, and compliance with safety standards while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design and development.
• Familiarity with electrical design and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of circuit theory, electronics principles, and electrical standards.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electrical circuits and systems using ALTIUM or similar software.
• Perform electrical simulations and analyses using MATLAB, PSpice, or similar tools.
• Develop prototypes and conduct experiments to validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure integration of electrical components.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specs and test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during design and production phases.
• Support compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on electrical designs.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies to drive innovation.
