About the Role

We are currently searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design and delivery of the electrical hardware associated with automated systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work as part of a team and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure successful project completion.

About Your Responsibilities
  • Generate electrical designs and define their characteristics using tools such as:
  • Automation Architecture Diagrams, Hardware specifications (e.g., I/O hardware, converter drives), Specifications of manufactured elements (e.g., PLC panels, I/O panels, power cabinets), Panel layout diagrams, Schedule for Input/Output Cards, On-site cabling specifications, Wiring diagrams, Locking Circuit Design, Cable Passage Diagrams, Network Design and Configuration.
  • Comply with SPX IDEF procedures and use applicable design tools and standards when developing electrical studies.
  • Perform study calculations (e.g., power loads) to support electrical design and specifications.
  • Conduct Panel Inspection / Acceptance Testing at the Subcontractor (FAT).
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to schedule, quality standards, and within budget.
  • Develop electrical solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Prepare tender documentation for electrical subcontractors, specifying electrical requirements.
  • Assist with negotiations with subcontractors to respect budgets when ordering electrical equipment and third-party services.
  • Ensure design and execution results meet budget, schedule, regulation, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support on electrical design aspects throughout the project and proposal phases.
  • Perform other technical tasks as required (e.g., site surveys, feasibility studies, sales support).
What Do You Need
  • Prerequisites: Knowledge of automated and electrical systems with at least 5 years of proven industry experience.
  • Desired: Ability to travel in Europe and internationally, fluent in English (spoken and written), good communication skills, ability to multi-task in a matrix environment, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, initiative, independence, and high standards of performance with ethics and integrity.
