Nūmi is seeking a Senior Downstream Process Engineer to own purification strategy for proteins, HMOs, and milk ingredients as the company scales from bench to pilot to first industrial batches.

You will lead hands-on development of chromatography, membrane operations, filtration and drying, mentor DSP Engineers, and drive technology transfer to CMOs/CDMOs while delivering robust process characterisation and TEA analyses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on downstream process development experience.
• Deep expertise in purification of biomolecules from fermentation or milk ingredients.
• Track record of scaling DSP from bench to pilot to commercial scale.
• Strong command of chromatography, membrane operations, filtration and drying.
• Experience with DoE, QbD and technology transfer to CMOs/CDMOs.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities in DSP teams.

Responsabilités

• Own the DSP strategy and roadmaps across ingredients (proteins, HMOs, lipids).
• Lead hands-on process development from lab to pilot scale operations.
• Design and optimise unit operations: clarification, capture, purification, polishing, drying.
• Mentor DSP Engineers and drive a culture of rigour and rapid iteration.
• Support scale-up and tech transfer to internal or external manufacturers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on release specs, stability data and TEA.
