Nūmi, a Paris-based bioproduction startup, is seeking a Senior Downstream Process Engineer to own purification strategy and mentor DSP Engineers.

You will lead design, execution and tech transfer of DSP processes from lab to pilot to commercial scale, collaborating with the Head of Industrialisation and CMC/Reg teams to ensure regulatory readiness. This role is based in Paris on-site.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on downstream process development experience.
• Deep expertise in purification of sugars (HMOs) or milk ingredients is highly valued.
• Track record of scaling at least one DSP process from bench to commercial scale.
• Strong command of chromatography, membrane operations, filtration, drying and formulation.
• Proficiency with DoE and QbD and technology transfer to CMOs/CDMOs.

Responsabilités

• Define and own the DSP strategy and road map across the ingredient portfolio.
• Lead hands-on process development for chromatography, membranes, and drying.
• Mentor DSP engineers and foster scientific rigour and rapid iteration.
• Support scale-up from lab to pilot and transfer to CMOs/CDMOs; oversee tech transfer dossiers.
