Job summary

Nūmi, a Paris-based biotech, is seeking a Senior Downstream Process Engineer to own the purification strategy for proteins, HMOs, and lipids. You will lead hands-on DSP development and mentor a team of engineers while aligning with USP, CMC, and external partners.

You'll drive scale-up from lab to pilot and toward commercial batches, applying DoE/QbD, process characterization, and tech transfer to CMOs/CDMOs.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in bioprocess or related field with 10+ years hands-on DSP work.
• Expertise in purification of sugars, proteins, or milk ingredients.
• Proven track record of scaling DSP from bench to commercial scale.
• Strong knowledge of chromatography, membranes, filtration and drying.
• Experience with DoE, QbD and technology transfer to CMOs/CDMOs.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver downstream process strategy across the ingredient portfolio.
• Own DSP scale-up trajectory from lab to industrial batches.
• Design and refine unit-operations for each ingredient.
• Mentor mid-level DSP Engineers and foster scientific rigor.
• Lead tech transfer dossiers and on-site oversight with partners.
