Datadog is seeking Distributed Systems Engineers in Lyon to design, implement, and run production-grade data pipelines handling billions of events per second. You will build fault-tolerant, scalable backend services in Go, Java, Rust or C++, using open-source components like Kafka and Redis as part of a high-availability platform.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Significant backend programming experience in one or more languages (Go, Java, Rust, C++).
• Exposure to high durability and low latency systems.
• Ability to work at low level when needed and care about simple, high-performance designs.
• Interested in leveraging AI tools to enhance coding and problem solving.

Responsabilités

• Build fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable solutions running in multi-tenant environments.
• Write backend code in Go, Java, Rust or C++, amongst other languages.
• Use Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and other open-source components.
• Own meaningful parts of our service and have an impact on the product.
