Datadog is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer to design, implement and operate core platforms powering our AI-driven observability tools.

You will build scalable, fault-tolerant services in Go/Java/Rust/C++ and work with Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch to ingest, store and analyze billions of events in real time. A strong foundation in systems programming and a passion for performance are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• Significant backend programming experience in one or more languages (Go, Java, Rust, C++)
• Experience with high durability / low latency / internet-scale problems
• Ability to work at low-level when needed and prioritize simple, high-performance designs

Responsabilités

• Build fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable solutions in multi-tenant environments
• Write production-grade code in Go, Java, Rust, or C++
• Leverage Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and other open-source components
• Own meaningful parts of our service and grow with the company
