Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior PDS&T Director to lead late-stage product and process development, commercialization, and lifecycle management. You will guide multidisciplinary teams across site, global, quality, regulatory, engineering, and R&D to ensure quality, regulatory, safety, and business goals are met.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-functional execution, and strong interfaces with executive stakeholders. Fluency in English and French is required, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in general, chemical, or process engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, formulation, or technical roles.
• At least 6 years of managerial experience within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and cross-functional programs.
• Fluent in both English and French.

Responsibilities

• Shape the site’s long-term technical strategy and roadmap, identifying future technologies, capabilities, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive alignment between site priorities, product strategy, and asset governance.
• Lead PDS&T budget and investment priorities in partnership with site and global stakeholders.
• Lead the late-stage development and commercialization of strategic projects.
• Define development strategies to ensure robust products and processes are transferred to manufacturing.
• Drive cross-functional execution against development plans, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
• Travel up to 25% locally and internationally to foster collaboration and drive deliverables.
