An established healthcare institution in France is seeking a Senior Dietitian to enhance the nutritional care for patients undergoing scoliosis surgery. This role involves developing dietary support, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing guidance during surgical and rehabilitation phases. The initial purpose of the senior dietitian post will be to develop the dietetic service to support the patients attending the scoliosis surgery service to maximise their nutritional wellbeing, nutritional pre-habilitation and rehabilitation across the patient journey.
To provide the patients with guidance on nutrition recommendations for cohorts within the scoliosis service- puberty, young adulthood, disabilities, and ageing where appropriate.
To provide appropriate nutrition support during the acute surgical period for wound care, and to maximise rehabilitation.
To work as part of the national spinal injuries dietetic service and as part of the dietitian network across critical care, orthopaedics and trauma.
To work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders and community services in the development of care pathways.
Scoliosis care at the Mater Hospital will be delivered by a range of health and social care professionals, with access to OPD clinics pre and post surgery as well as the inpatient care during the perioperative period.
