Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Asset Management or Investment Banking, focusing on OTC derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and pricing models.

  • 10 or more years of work experience in Asset Management or Investment Banking related to:

OTC Derivatives Pricing and Sensitivities Calculation

  • Collateral Management Process and Exposure Controls
  • Good understanding of Front-to-Back Processes in OTC Derivatives Environment
  • Participation in Operational Projects

Knowledge and Skills

  • Skills and knowledge of financial products, especially OTC derivatives and their pricing models
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Strong Excel skills; VBA knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with SimCorp and Bloomberg
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong professionalism and interpersonal skills with a client-centric mindset
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and ability to work under fixed deadlines in a challenging environment

As a future Senior Derivatives Analyst, you will report to the Head of Derivatives Support and be part of the Investment Support team.

Our main mission is to onboard, control, and support the operational platform of AXA IM, focusing on Derivatives. We ensure these operational services are consistent and efficient for AXA IM and its clients worldwide, regardless of external service providers. We also support AXA IM's development through direct services.

Your role and responsibilities will notably include:

The Derivatives Support team manages OTC derivatives activity (multi-cross Asset) with three major pillars:

  • Financial reports and inventory production for AXA group entities
  • OTC Derivatives pricing within derivatives systems and quantitative pricing libraries
  • Validation of OTC cash flows (and accruals)
  • OTC sensitivities and stress scenario computations
  • Evidence of hedging efficiency

Collateral Management and Counterparty Risk Monitoring:

  • Daily monitoring and oversight of collateral activity
  • Follow-up on collateral disputes with counterparties
  • Monitoring residual exposures and counterparty limits
  • Monthly reporting of counterparty risk based on OTC sensitivities

Controls on EMIR Requirements:

  • Daily reconciliation and matching of OTC positions with counterparties
  • Valuations controls and reconciliation of internal versus external valuations
  • Monitoring of timely confirmations and signature procedures
  • Implementation and monitoring of EMIR Refit controls and clearing obligations

Derivatives Analysts will participate in projects involving derivatives processes, including:

  • Regulatory projects (e.g., EMIR, AIFMD)
  • Process improvement and industrialization for client portfolios
  • Supporting new business initiatives (new strategies, products, clients)

While performing these duties, the Derivatives Analyst will act as an expert contact for:

  • Middle and back-office inquiries or escalations related to derivatives from Front Office clients and others
  • Resolving operational issues, developing preventive setups, and documenting procedures
  • Implementing best practices, securing processes, automating controls for operational efficiency and reliability
  • Supporting business development with flexibility to promote simplification, cost reduction, and operational risk mitigation
