Gama in Ivry-sur-Seine is seeking a Senior Mechanisms Engineer to own the design of deployment and actuation mechanisms for our next‑generation ultra‑light deployable structures, from concept through qualification to volume production and to help shape a growing engineering team.

You will work on gear trains, hinges, latches, and actuators, perform kinematic analyses, prototype hardware, and drive verification strategies while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring performance under launch and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing mechanisms for deployables or precision linkages.
• Multiple full development cycles from concept to fielded product.
• Deep expertise in gear trains, deployment systems and latching devices.
• Fluency with CAD and motion/kinematic simulation tools; able to sanity-check with hand calculations.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; proactive and autonomous.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and qualify deployment mechanisms for ultra-light structures.
• Own kinematics, load path, friction, backlash and tolerance analyses from concept to testing.
• Prototype assembly, mechanism testing (deployment, cycling, vacuum, thermal) and production line support.
• Build robust mechanisms meeting mass and reliability targets under launch and orbital environments.
• Define and execute integration, verification and validation strategies for mechanism- and system-level testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for mechanism design.
