Are you passionate about providing Database technical solutions to AWS key customers? Do you have a strategic mindset to help your business partners build scalable go-to-market (GTM) plans that benefit hundreds of thousands of customers? In this role, you will help some of our largest customers build and deploy database solutions using Amazon Web Services and its partner networks. You will also engage with AWS product owners to influence product roadmap and the evolution of the next generation of database solutions in AWS.

This role is for a senior database solution architect with experience in non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, in-memory databases like Memcached, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL. You will act as a subject matter expert in designing database solutions leveraging AWS serverless and managed services. Your responsibilities include interacting with key customers to understand their business problems, designing architectures, guiding implementations, delivering briefing and deep-dive sessions, developing reference architectures, white papers, and presentations, and creating field enablement materials. You will also gather customer feedback and translate it into technical and business requirements for product and engineering teams.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be highly technical, capable of engaging AWS customers at all levels, from executives to developers. Travel within the EMEA region and occasionally to other regions may be required.

Key job responsibilities

2. Represent the voice of the customer to influence product development and roadmap.
3. Share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.
4. Partner with Business Development teams to define technical components of GTM solutions.
5. Develop and support a global community of technical subject matter experts and create enablement materials for AWS field teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Basic understanding of cloud technology (compute, storage, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
2. Experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on database applications and infrastructures.
3. Experience in IT development or consulting in the software or internet industries.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience with AWS cloud platform.
2. Experience with in-memory databases like Memcached, non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or time series and graph databases.
3. Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
