Description du poste

AQEMIA is a next-generation pharmatech company developing one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipelines.

Our mission is to design fast, innovative drug candidates for critical diseases such as immuno-oncology.

We leverage quantum-inspired physics algorithms to power generative AI in designing novel drug candidates without relying on experimental data.

We have achieved several drug discovery successes within our pipeline and through collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Our most advanced programs are currently in in vivo optimization.

You will join the Rocket Launcher team, dedicated to hit identification. Your role is to optimize virtual screening pipelines using a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating across scientific domains and leading projects to integrate cutting-edge computational technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate and test virtual screening pipelines for scientific effectiveness.
  2. Align computational strategies with team objectives and drug discovery goals.
  3. Lead interdisciplinary projects across physics, chemistry, data science, and ML teams.
  4. Apply statistical and exploratory data analyses to improve pipeline performance.
  5. Identify technical gaps and develop custom solutions.
  6. Contribute to best practices in data analysis, coding, and workflows.
  7. Stay current with literature and recommend improvements in virtual screening.
  8. Advise stakeholders on the technical feasibility and impact of approaches.
  9. Participate in planning analyses and prioritization.

Note: This position does not involve work in machine learning or deep learning.

Your Profile

  1. PhD or equivalent with 8+ years in Data Science, Physics, Computational Chemistry, or related fields.
  2. Strong Python programming skills.
  3. Deep experience in scientific data analysis, ideally in life sciences.
  4. Solid understanding of statistical methods and exploratory data analysis.
  5. Experience leading multi-team scientific initiatives.
  6. Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with tools like RDKit, OpenMM, SMILES, or experience with molecular simulation data.
  7. Nice-to-Have: Knowledge of high-performance computing or cloud environments.

We seek a pragmatic, impact-driven data scientist with strong analytical and project management skills.

Preferred mindset

  • Impact-driven & pragmatic: values results that are practical and scientifically rigorous.
  • Curious & eager to learn: keen on staying at the scientific frontier.
  • Motivated by high challenges: enthusiastic about pushing boundaries in drug discovery.
  • Team-oriented: thrives in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Humble & open: welcomes feedback and continuous growth.

Why Join Us?

At AQEMIA, we aim to impact drug discovery and shape our company's growth.

Our expanding pipeline focuses on critical areas like Oncology, CNS, and Immuno-inflammation, with in vivo proof-of-concept and patent-stage programs, including collaborations with top pharma, such as a $140M deal with Sanofi.

Join a talented, interdisciplinary team recognized as part of French Tech 120 and France 2030.

Prime Location: Based in central Paris and London (King's Cross), with up to 2 remote days per week.

International environment with English as the working language; relocation support and French lessons available.

We have strong financial backing, having raised $100M from leading European and international investors.
