EDV Werke is looking for a Senior Data Scientist

Working Model: Remote – European Union

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Own full-cycle data science projects from business case definition to model deployment and monitoring.
• Collect, clean, and transform data from diverse sources including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and actionable insights.
• Build and validate machine learning and AI models to solve high-impact operational challenges.
• Ensure models are production-ready, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and operations.
• Translate complex results into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences via dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and tools in AI, ML, and data science.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Ph.D. is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a data science or machine learning role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including experience with key Python data and ML libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
• Proven experience with EDA (exploratory data analysis), feature engineering, and model validation.
• Hands-on experience deploying models to cloud and/or edge environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain expertise in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain optimization.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices for model lifecycle management.
• Experience working in cross-functional, Agile teams.
