About the Role:

As a Data Engineer at cozycozy you will play a critical role in shaping our data-driven future. You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support our growing business needs. Your work will directly impact key business decisions, from product recommendations to personalized marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:Data Pipeline Development:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, logs, and cloud storage).

• Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and consistency.

• Implement data validation and quality checks to maintain data integrity.

Data Infrastructure:

• Build and manage scalable data warehouses and data lakes to store and process large volumes of data.

• Design and implement data models and schemas to support business analytics and reporting.

• Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and query efficiency.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights effectively.

Cloud Technologies:

• Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to build and deploy data solutions.

• Utilize cloud-native technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift) to optimize data processing and storage.

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

• Strong proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebook and libraries such as Pandas

• Experience with Delta Lake and other data warehousing / data lake concepts.

• Knowledge of Spark, Airflow, DBT and other ETL / big data technologies

• Very strong understanding of SQL, optimization of SQL queries (preferred dialect: PostgreSQL)

• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI or Metabase).

• Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing techniques.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

• Familiarity with DuckDB

• Experience with machine learning and data science.

• Experience with data governance and data security best practices.

• Previously utilized cloud-native technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift)
