About the role:

The mission of "Scibids DoubleVerify" is to provide media buyers with fully automated buying strategies for display campaigns, leading to unmatched performance with minimal human intervention.

The Data Engineering team is central to the Scibids product, responsible for communication between Scibids and its partners.

All teams rely on accurate and reliable data. We ingest diverse and volumetric data and manage outbound communications with partners. We use partner APIs cross-referenced with business rules to upload models generated by the Scibids product.

As a Senior Data Engineer, your role will involve participating in project development and ensuring its efficient operation.

The scope of work includes:

1. Creating ETL jobs to make our partners' data accessible to other teams, handling various data sources such as APIs or files in CSV, Avro, or Parquet formats with millions of rows.
2. Contributing to the development of a reverse ETL process for uploading Scibids models.
3. Developing APIs and libraries to facilitate inter-team communication.

Technical stack relevant to the position:

Reporting to: Manager, Data Engineering

Location: Paris, France

• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Advanced knowledge of one or several programming languages
• Ability to write simple, concise code following the KISS principle
• Interest and ability to learn additional programming languages as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional experience working with large datasets
• Experience with two or more of the following: distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, developing large software systems
• Regularly conducting technology watch on data-related topics
