DATA FACTORY MANAGER / SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT
Based in France (Marseille or Puteaux).
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The Senior Data Architect will join the Global IT Data and Digital organization at CEVA Logistics within the Global CIO organization and will report to the Head of the CEVA Global Data Factory.
This role operates in complex decision-making environments impacting the CEVA enterprise, working with senior management from IT, BD, and Operations to ensure the best possible global solutions are available for our customers and CEVA employees alike.
The data architect will work within the context of CEVA's new Cloud Data Platform, contributing to its setup, development, growth, and the building of internal teams of data architects and data analysts.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing an organizational data strategy aligned with business processes, including data model designs, database development standards, and management of data warehouses and analytics systems.
- Identifying internal and external data sources and planning data management strategies accordingly.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for seamless data system operations.
- Managing end-to-end data architecture, from platform selection and design to development, testing, and deployment.
- Planning and executing big data solutions with appropriate technologies, ensuring full lifecycle management and interoperability.
- Defining data flows and information dissemination within the organization.
- Ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security through technical functionality integration.
- Conducting ongoing system performance audits, refining processes, and reporting breaches or vulnerabilities promptly.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT systems design or development.
- Minimum 5 years specifically in data architecture and large-scale analytics platform delivery.
- Knowledge of system development lifecycle, project management, design, and testing techniques.
- Proven expertise in data modeling, data domains, and understanding business data products, including proficiency in SQL and database administration.
- Understanding of predictive modeling, AI, data mining, visualization, and machine learning.
- Experience with data management and reporting technologies, columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
- Broad knowledge of current technology stacks, cloud data platforms, and data lakes (preferably AWS and Snowflake).
- Experience with data integration methods such as ETL, Data Virtualization, MDM, Data Warehouse, or Lakehouse.
- Understanding of business strategy with the ability to align IT solutions accordingly.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Analytical skills and business acumen, preferably in logistics.
- Fluent in English, with proven practice.
