Senior Data Architect

DATA FACTORY MANAGER / SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT

Based in France (Marseille or Puteaux).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The Senior Data Architect will join the Global IT Data and Digital organization at CEVA Logistics within the Global CIO organization and will report to the Head of the CEVA Global Data Factory.

This role operates in complex decision-making environments impacting the CEVA enterprise, working with senior management from IT, BD, and Operations to ensure the best possible global solutions are available for our customers and CEVA employees.

The data architect will operate within the context of CEVA's new Cloud Data Platform, contributing to its setup, development, and growth, as well as building the internal teams of data architects and data analysts.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing an organizational data strategy aligned with business processes, including data model designs, database standards, and management of data warehouses and analytics systems.
2. Identifying internal and external data sources and planning data management strategies accordingly.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for smooth data system operations.
4. Managing end-to-end data architecture, from platform selection to design, development, testing, and deployment.
5. Planning and executing big data solutions with appropriate technologies, ensuring lifecycle management and interoperability.
6. Defining data flow and dissemination within the organization.
7. Ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, security, and integrating technical functionalities.
8. Conducting performance audits of data systems, refining processes, and reporting breaches or loopholes promptly.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT systems design or development.
• Minimum of 5 years in data architecture and large-scale analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, project management, design, and testing techniques.
• Proven experience in data modeling, data domains, and understanding business data products, including SQL and database administration.
• Understanding of predictive modeling, AI, data mining, visualization, and machine learning.
• Ability to implement data management and reporting technologies, including columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
• Strong knowledge of current technology stacks, cloud data platforms, and data lakes (preferably AWS and Snowflake).
• Experience with data integration methods like ETL, Data Virtualization, MDM, Data Warehousing, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Understanding of business strategy with the ability to align IT solutions accordingly.
• Excellent communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen, preferably in logistics.
• Fluent in English with proven practice.
