Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Counsel, Data Privacy & AI based in France. You will provide strategic legal guidance on privacy, data protection, and AI governance across a globally distributed platform, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security, IT, and business units.

You will translate evolving global regulations into scalable policies and practical guidance, support DPIAs/PIAs/TIAs, and draft/ negotiate DPAs, SCCs, and data-use terms.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of GDPR and international data transfers.
• Experience advising on AI governance and AI regulatory matters.
• Law degree with ability to advise independently on complex matters.
• Commercial and product-oriented legal judgment.
• Experience in HR tech, payroll, EOR, or regulated B2B SaaS.
• Familiarity with workforce data protection across HR processes.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to assess AI use cases and govern data.
• Experience with privacy management tools and CLM platforms.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide privacy, data protection, and AI governance leadership across the platform and operations.
• Embed privacy-by-design and responsible AI practices in product features and workflows.
• Translate regulations into clear policies, review frameworks, and decision-making standards.
• Support enterprise-wide AI governance, including use-case assessments and data governance.
• Lead DPIAs, PIAs, TIAs, data mapping, and vendor assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs, SCCs, data-use terms, and product agreements.
• Advise on privacy and data protection across cross-border employment operations.
• Coordinate privacy incident response, regulatory reporting, and remediation.
