Do you speak project management at all levels? We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager expert in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a background in commercial or energy performance with a focus on large projects. This candidate should be an out-of-the-box thinker and a problem identifier.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and collaborate with operations to ensure the project is built properly and within budget.
2. Provide leadership to junior project managers, helping them develop skills to become senior project managers, while overseeing their projects at a higher level. Assist in mentoring and development of individuals.
3. Work directly with the owner or customer, maintaining a professional relationship to achieve high customer satisfaction.
4. Plan work phases and coordinate with operations to maintain schedules and meet all benchmarks and deadlines.
5. Maintain a cooperative environment where all involved individuals have clearly defined roles, feel engaged, and motivated to achieve project goals and deadlines.
6. Update management on the status of projects managed by the Senior Construction Manager and those of junior project managers.
7. Use data analysis to monitor project costs and forecast financial health.
8. Identify potential risks (schedule, safety, personnel) and work to mitigate their impacts.
9. Ensure proper permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
10. Identify areas for improvement to enhance reputation with employees, customers, industry, and communities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, chemistry, physics, or construction management from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
2. 10 years of project management experience.
3. Experience with estimating and accounting software for analysis.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software.
5. Local experience preferred.
6. Strong organizational, analytical, and logical thinking skills.
7. Progressive development through technical, administrative, coordination, and management roles.
