Senior Compliance Officer and Deputy to the Head of Compliance Monaco

Job Responsibilities
- Support to the Head of Compliance in managing the team and handling complex files;
- Represent Compliance in the frame of the EFGI Client Acceptance Committee (CAC);
- Analysis and approval of account opening;
- Follow-up of periodic reviews and CIP modifications;
- Preparation of suspicious transaction reports, and recommendations to the Head of Compliance where required;
- Reinforcement of the compliance culture within the bank;
- Control and follow-up of audit points;
- Participation to the drafting of reports to the authorities;
- Coaching and training of the junior Compliance officers;
- Improving and managing the company’s policies, procedures and controls related to Financial Crime Compliance;
- Maintaining, and updating the Compliance Risk Assessment;
- Performing second line controls on a regular basis and presentation of the results to the different stakeholders;
Professional Skills
- Bachelor's degree in law, economics, finance, or a related field
- Fluent in English (and preferably also in French)
- At least 8 years of experience in a Compliance function in a financial institution or audit / consulting firm
- Ideally previous managerial experience a strong plus;
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to cope with pressure, manage own goals and set up priorities
- Excellent knowledge of AML-CFT regulatory obligations, laws and regulations, including main sanctions regimes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
- Independent oversight and problem solving skills
