Job summary

Algolia is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in IaaS to shape the next generation of production infrastructure. You will lead Cloud Baseline developments, standardize environments across cloud providers, and build scalable, repeatable platforms for engineers to consume.

You will mentor peers, drive automation, and contribute to reliability and cost visibility while aligning with security and platform engineering goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with cloud providers (AWS or GCP).
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge and operational discipline.
• Infrastructure-as-code and automation skills (Terraform, Python/Go).
• Production systems expertise and ability to design reliable cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of Cloud Baseline across providers.
• Automate cloud foundations and manage Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Drive complex infrastructure initiatives and automate upgrades and drift reduction.
• Ensure reliability and cost visibility across large-scale workload migrations.
• Treat the platform as a product with reusable modules and self-service workflows.
• Build automated guardrails for security, reliability, and change management.
• Improve platform efficiency through capacity planning and autoscaling.
• Collaborate with Security, FinOps, and Eng teams on high-impact capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident resolution.
