Job Title: Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Location: Remote Europe (no other regions considered)

Working Hours: Central European Time

Job Summary: We seek a proactive individual to join our Automation and Cloud Services team to leverage cloud technologies and automation.

This role focuses on building and maintaining a scalable, secure platform for the Centric C8 cloud application.

You will use Pulumi, Terraform, and Ansible to automate cloud operations, with strong Python skills for developing automation tools.

Responsibilities include:

1. Automation Development: Lead in creating automation frameworks using Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, and Python to streamline cloud operations.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using Pulumi or Terraform.
3. Ansible Integration: Develop playbooks for configuration management and automated deployment across cloud environments.
4. Python Programming: Develop scripts and applications to automate cloud tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments ensuring performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
6. Process Automation: Automate routine tasks to minimize manual effort.
7. Collaboration: Work with cloud, development, and DevOps teams to develop effective automation solutions.
8. Documentation and Advocacy: Document automation processes and promote best practices organization-wide.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in cloud operations and infrastructure management in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• 5+ years in incident response and major incident management.
• Proficiency in Pulumi or Terraform with a strong deployment portfolio.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation development.
• Advanced Linux and Windows experience.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), version control (GitHub, Jenkins), database technologies, monitoring tools, and related technologies.
