Job Description

What we are looking for:

You are an extremely passionate Senior Chef de Partie with a big heart, who is a fantastic leader and leads by example. You will represent our professional 5-star service philosophy and create delicious food for our Guests each and every time. You will have a proactive attitude and a desire to assist in getting the very best out of our team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and energetic kitchen where every day is different. We provide an a la carte service for lunch and dinner, whilst also catering for conferences, events and weddings. As we head into the busy season, you will play a very important role in our dynamic kitchen team!

The Role:

  1. Lead and inspire employees by setting a positive example.
  2. Assist the Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Executive Chef with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service.
  3. Liaise with Restaurant staff regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu, and any relevant changes.
  4. Supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Sous Chef.
  5. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
  6. Liaise with Restaurant team members regarding menu item availability in the absence of the Executive Chef, additions to the menu, and relevant changes.
  7. Provide training and education to staff to ensure continuous upskilling.
  8. Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
  9. Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Implement and maintain stock control procedures.
  10. Prepare and ensure availability of mis en place as required.
  11. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
  12. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
  13. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene practiced and maintained by the entire F&B Service team to meet Health & Safety regulations and food preparation guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Trade qualified with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a busy establishment.
  • Relevant experience complemented by culinary flair.
  • Genuine passion for career growth and inspiring others through training and upskilling.
  • Well versed in HACCP and diligent in adhering to health, safety, and compliance regulations.
  • Reliable and level-headed team player.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
