Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scientist in Color Reproduction to drive innovation in camera ISP color processing. This role focuses on designing and delivering industry-leading color imaging solutions for mobile devices, aligning closely with customer needs and future technology trends. You will play a key role in shaping the color management roadmap, proposing advanced hardware and algorithmic solutions, and contributing to cross-industry standards in professional-grade video color.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer pain points and define next-generation color imaging solutions.
- Lead the development of an end-to-end color management roadmap to ensure continuous competitiveness in color performance.
- Analyze power, performance, area, latency, and image quality trade-offs to propose efficient IP / SOC hardware solutions.
- Drive the full lifecycle of color algorithm development, from concept and prototyping to validation and benchmarking.
- Monitor and evaluate state-of-the-art color reproduction algorithms applicable to embedded systems and imaging / video processing.
- Architect and lead ecosystem collaborations to define mobile-to-studio color workflows and industry color standards.
- Contribute to internal research initiatives and innovation projects, sharing insights across global R&D teams.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Master’s or PhD in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience in mobile imaging, camera systems, or ISP development.
- Deep understanding of mobile imaging components : image sensors, optics, mechanical design, autofocus, OIS, and assembly processes.
- Strong knowledge of modern ISP pipelines and color algorithms (AWB, color correction, spectral imaging, multi-camera fusion, etc.).
- Proficient in simulation tools and techniques for imaging system evaluation.
- Ability to operate independently and lead technical discussions with domain experts.
- Skilled in root cause analysis, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multicultural, multi-site environments.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team technical growth.
Preferred Skills :
- Background in computational photography or computer vision.
- Familiarity with standard cinema and professional video color workflows.
- Experience with embedded imaging pipelines and hardware-software co-design.
