Scope:
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of intellectual property (IP) and patents. This role involves negotiating and securing IP rights through contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with departments such as Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Accounting to support the company's strategic objectives.

Activity:
In accordance with Stellantis Code of Conduct (Ethics & Compliance), the Senior Buyer is accountable for:

• Procurement Management: Define and lead the Commodity Strategy (COMMS) within their scope and recommend suppliers (REC) during sourcing decision meetings.
• Negotiation: Generate purchase agreements (contracts), securing favorable terms.
• Compliance: Ensure all IP and patent procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Collaboration: Work with legal, engineering, and product teams to identify IP needs and support new product development.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to IP procurement, including litigation and compliance issues.
• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with IP suppliers and licensors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and coordinate business reviews with suppliers.
• Budget Management: Manage the IP procurement budget, reporting, and administrative tasks (purchase orders, amendments) to ensure cost efficiency and accountability.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve IP procurement processes and implement best practices.

Profil

Required knowledge:
• Proficiency in English (C1 level)
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably focusing on intellectual property and patents.

Skills:
• Strategic thinking to align IP procurement with company goals.
• Attention to detail in reviewing contracts and ensuring legal compliance.
• Leadership in driving procurement initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of standard-essential patents (SEPs) and licensing agreements.
• Familiarity with global IP procurement practices and trends.

• Proficiency in procurement software, SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
