1. Scope

The Direct Material Senior Buyer is responsible for managing sourcing and resourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance for an assigned set of commodities and supplier relationships. The Senior Buyer also defines and contributes to/leads the Commodity Strategy/Strategy Functional Group. This role involves interacting with various stakeholders at Stellantis (Engineering, Program Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk Management, Purchasing Finance, Accounting, Cost Engineers, etc.) to coordinate actions related to Requests for Quotations or Contract Execution.

2. Activities

In accordance with Stellantis Code of Conduct (Ethics & Compliance), the buyer is accountable for:

• Defining and leading the Commodity Strategy (COMMS/SFG) for their perimeter
• Preparing and managing RFQs based on the bidlist defined through the commodity strategy
• Making supplier recommendations (REC) during sourcing decision meetings
• Generating Purchase Agreements (contracts) aligned with supplier selections
• Ensuring contract execution, LTA application, quality, logistics, development performance, capacity increase, etc.
• Managing escalation levels with suppliers for quality, logistics, and obsolescence issues when needed
• Preparing and executing resourcing plans
• Negotiating and monitoring purchasing performance using available levers such as commercial performance, VO, and raw material indexation/optimization
• Coordinating and preparing business reviews with suppliers
• Managing administrative tasks like purchase orders and amendments
• Reporting on performance metrics (e.g., Performance Roadmap)

3. Main Deliverables

• Supplier recommendations aligned with sourcing timing, cost targets, and commodity strategy
• Signed Purchase Agreements and GTCs
• Economic performance in line with targets, including VO
• Resourcing recommendations aligned with division and commodity group targets
• Quality, logistics, and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) performance meeting GPSC’s targets
• All related business administration
