Job summary

AQEMIA is seeking a senior biology leader to shape rapidly expanding small‑molecule programs across oncology and immuno‑oncology. You will work with the VP of biology and cross‑functional teams to accelerate discovery of clinical candidates.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in early‑stage drug discovery, proven oncology expertise, and hands‑on wet‑lab experience guiding external partners. Paris or London offices offer flexible, hybrid work with some remote days.

Qualifications

• PhD in biological sciences or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years in early-stage drug discovery and ideation.
• Proven oncology/immuno-oncology expertise and wet-lab skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive identification, validation and selection of novel biological targets aligned with unmet medical needs.
• Contribute to early-stage project ideation with deep biological insight across the drug discovery value chain.
• Guide programs from early discovery into the Aqemia pipeline, supporting POI progression.
• Design, implement and maintain screening cascades to enable efficient compound evaluation and decisions.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide biology expertise and data-driven prioritization.
• Manage and collaborate with external CROs to define experimental strategies and generate high-quality datasets.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across biology, chemistry, modeling and platform teams.
